Contest Rules & Conditions

The contest is open to individuals aged 18 years and above as of the date of entry, who are legal residents of India. Employees, officers, directors, and representatives of Samyak Digital Media, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members are not eligible to participate or win prizes. Submissions must be the original work of the entrant, created solely by the entrant, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.
All entries must be submitted electronically through the official entry form available on this landing page before the specified deadline: December 15th, 2024, 11:59 PM IST. Content must thoughtfully address the contest theme: 'Digital Futures: Storytelling in the Modern Age'. The provided link to the content must remain publicly accessible without password protection until at least January 31st, 2025, to allow for judging and verification. Entrants may submit a maximum of one entry per content category (News Reporting, Blog, Podcast, Video). Submitting multiple entries within the same category will result in disqualification of all entries from that individual in that category. Ensure content does not contain obscene, defamatory, or illegal material.
Entries will be evaluated by a qualified panel of judges selected by Samyak Digital Media, comprising internal experts and external industry professionals. Judging will be based on the following criteria, weighted as indicated:
  • Creativity & Originality (40%): Uniqueness of concept, innovative approach, and fresh perspective.
  • Quality of Production/Execution (30%): Technical skill, clarity, polish, and overall professionalism of the content (writing quality, audio clarity, video editing, etc.).
  • Relevance to Theme & Impact (30%): How effectively the content addresses the 'Digital Futures' theme, its potential impact, engagement value, and storytelling effectiveness.
Bonus points may be awarded for significant social media engagement related to the entry (#SamyakCreatorContest). The decisions of the judges are final, binding, and non-appealable in all matters related to the contest.
Prizes are detailed in the 'Prizes' section of this page. All prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable, and non-exchangeable for cash or other alternatives, except at the sole discretion of Samyak Digital Media. Potential winners will be notified via the email address provided in their entry form on or around January 15th, 2025. Potential winners must respond to the notification email within seven (7) calendar days, providing any required verification information (e.g., proof of age, residency). Failure to respond within the specified time, or if a potential winner is found to be ineligible or non-compliant with these rules, may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Samyak Digital Media reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. Taxes on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners.
Entrants retain full ownership and copyright of their submitted content. However, by submitting an entry to the contest, each entrant grants Samyak Digital Media and its affiliates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, adapt, modify, and create derivative works from the submitted content (in whole or in part) for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes related to this contest and Samyak Digital Media's future activities across all media platforms now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation, notification, or permission, except where prohibited by law. Samyak Digital Media will make reasonable efforts to provide attribution to the creator when using the content.
